Collection agency bringing 125 jobs to Alcoa

A New England-based collection agency is expanding into Blount County in a move expected to bring 125 jobs to Alcoa.

The Blount Partnership announced that Windham Professionals will add a location in the Tyson Centre Building, next to McGhee-Tyson Airport.  According to a news release, the company plans to initially hire 125 professionals in the fields of accounting, administration, human resources and training, beginning on approximately Feb. 1.

"Windham Professionals wishes to thank the Blount Partnership along with the City of Alcoa for their support in making this move happen," Chuck Harper, executive vice president of operations for Windham, said in the release. "The professionalism exhibited, along with the Tyson Centre, made this an easy decision. We are eager to get started in our new location and continue with our expanded operation."

Windham is based in Salem, N.H., and also has a facility in Hendersonville, Tenn.
