University of Tennessee ranked one of the best educational values

The University of Tennessee was named one of the best educational values and listed in the top 135 colleges in the Southeast, according to The Princeton Review.

The school was one of 50 public schools named to its list of best values based on data and student surveys that considered undergraduate academics, costs and financial aid, according to the Princeton Review's website. It also considered the percentage of graduating seniors who borrowed from loan programs and the average debt amount.

Along with the UT-Knoxville and UT-Martin, other area schools, including Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, East Tennessee University in Johnson City, Maryville College were named among the top 135 colleges in the Southeast.
